It is challenging when you aren't on the best of terms with someone and have to see someone often. It's great when you can take the opportunity and look more objectively about a situation and ask yourself what of this conflict is mine and what is theirs. We all have old beliefs that can get triggered by others because of what our perception of the situation is. In times of conflict it's usually that both parties feel they are in the right. So looking beyond who's right and who's wrong and ask yourself what can I learn from this experience?
When someone really upsets or activates us they are showing us a part of ourselves we may dislike, resist or try to avoid. I encourage you Allyson to consider what she is reflecting back to you and acknowledge that part of yourself. This is a challenge for most as it is uncomfortable to look at the parts we don't like.
It is helpful to shift your focus on what end result you want in this situation and move in that direction. Often when we are upset we focus intently on the problem and end up giving our power away. By letting this person/situation get to you, you are in essence giving her your power. Take your power back momma!
Good Luck Allyson!

xoxo

Angela, you led me here from twitter. I agree with all of the above and plenty times in my life I have cut the parasites and cancer. The problem with my current situation is it is a woman at my child's school that I will have frequent contact with. What do you do if you have to see them everyday?
